ASSEMBLING INSTRUCTIONS FOR FREE LENGTH POLES
The packing includes:
Shaft + attached basket 1 pair
Grip + attached strap 1 pair
Cup of glue 10 g 1 cup
Working instructions: All new poles have a sizing template to help you locate the exact cutting point to achieve your desired pole length. Simply follow the instructions below. Remove the remainder of the sticker before installing the grip.
- Measure the pole to the desired length and subtract the minus index required for the grip. E.g. a 170 cm pole with a C Cork grip is made by cutting the shaft to 165 cm (170 cm - 5 cm = 165 cm). The minus indexes of each grip are given below.
- Tape around the shaft at the cutting area to prevent splinters. Cut the shaft by sawing carefully to avoid the tearing of the fibes.
- Coat the shaft with the hot liquid glue and press on the grip. PLEASE NOTE! The temperature of the glue is around 160° C.
- After installing the grip, let the glue cool for about 5 minutes.
- If you wish to remove a grip or a basket first warm it up to about 80-90° C using e.g. hot water for abt. 5 minutes. Once the glue has softened the part can be removed by straight pulling.
