Exel is the original Nordic Walking and Cross Country pole brand. The success of Exel poles began with the introduction of the first carbon fiber x-country ski pole at the Innsbruck Winter Olympic Games in 1976. More than 30 years the dedicated Exel athletes have made history with Exel poles by winning hundreds of medals in both Olympic Games and World Championships. Exel poles were also the first Nordic Walking poles which were introduced to the market. Exel was the first company to introduce the sport first in Finland in co-operation with Suomen Latu and Finnish Sports Institute and after that Exel introduced the sports also in Central Europe.

ESB (Exel Sports Brands) Oy/GmbH is a company which is handling the marketing, sales, logistics and product development of Exel poles globally.
